The Sports Journalists Association of Zimbabwe (SPOJA) has officially lodged a formal complaint with the Premier Soccer League (PSL) regarding the conduct of FC Platinum head coach Norman Mapeza during a post-match press conference on April 30, 2025.
SPOJA alleges that Mapeza engaged in bullying behavior towards journalist Tafadzwa Chigandiwa during the press briefing. In their complaint, the journalists’ body described Mapeza’s actions as “unprofessional and disrespectful to the media.”
This incident is not the first time Norman Mapeza has been involved in controversies surrounding his interactions with the press. SPOJA highlighted this pattern of behavior in their complaint to the PSL.
The association is urging both the Premier Soccer League and FC Platinum Football Club to take strong action in response to the alleged misconduct.
