A leaked audio recording has surfaced revealing Zimbabwe Rugby Union (ZRU) president Losson Mtongwiza delivering a harsh message to the national women’s rugby team, the Lady Sables, regarding their unpaid match fees.
The recording, which has spread rapidly across social media platforms, showcases Mtongwiza’s blunt response to the players’ concerns, igniting outrage among fans and advocates for women’s sports.
In the audio, Mtongwiza can be heard admonishing the players, stating, “If you are here to be paid, don’t come again! We’re not here to pay people. If we don’t have money, we don’t owe you anything!”.
