In a stunning judgement, the High court of Zimbabwe has re-instated controversial CCC acting secretary general, Sengezo Tshabangu.

In his ruling, Justice Dube JP ruled that the terms of office of the officer bearers elected in Gweru have expired and the disciplinary committee that expelled Tshabangu was null and void.

CCC was ordered to pay cost.

The officer bearers of the CCC were found to be in office illegally.

Conclusion

The impeachment motion against Mnangagwa is one of the most significant events politically in Zimbabwe. Mnangagwa is not taking any chances and counts on Sengezo Tshabangu for support and has therefore given him back control of the opposition party.
