In a recent social media exchange, Richard Tsvangirai, son of the late opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai, addressed allegations concerning a controversial land distribution initiative purportedly aimed at bribing Members of Parliament to maintain support for the current president.

Responding to journalist Hopewell Chin’ono, Richard stated unequivocally, “Mukoma Hope, I have made it clear that I will not accept any bribe, nor do I support any amendments that seek to extend the presidential term limit!”

The remarks come in the wake of a statement from the local government indicating collaborations with MPs on land allocation, which critics suggest is a tactic to ensure political loyalty amidst calls for impeachment against the president.
