Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume has announced a partnership between the city council and Scotland FC to renovate Rufaro stadium.

According to Mayor Mafume, Scotland FC has pledged to help upgrade the stadium to international standards, with plans to sign a lease with the city council.

Speaking at a recent press conference, Mayor Mafume revealed that the partnership will ensure that Rufaro stadium is revamped before the end of the year.

“Scotland FC, along with their partners, will ensure that Rufaro stadium is upgraded to international standards before the year ends,” he said.

Despite ongoing renovations, Mayor Mafume confirmed that the stadium can still be used for premier league games, and will remain accessible to all who want to use it.
