Wicknel Chivhayo, a renowned businessman, has signed a groundbreaking $2.5 billion deal with Chinese company Chint to construct 13 different transmission lines in Kenya and overhaul the national grid in Tanzania.

The deal, which was finalized recently, marks a significant milestone in Chivayo’s career and underscores his reputation as a savvy businessman with a keen eye for opportunity.

Chint, a leading player in the global energy sector, will provide the technical expertise and resources needed to bring the project to life.

These news  has however been received with skepticism with critics stating that he is just looting more money for himself.They made reference to his unfinished solar project in Gwanda.
