Two men who were arrested for bringing a gun into a function that was being addressed by Mnangagwa on 24 Feb have been released. The two men, Alexander Simbarashe Mutendera (40) and Emanuel Nyamarebvu (50) were removed from remand as ballistic test revealed that the weapon was not a real gun.

The pair were travelling with ZDCD mine Spokesman Sugar Chagonda and Board member Douglas Zimbango.

1. Most of the Witnesses in Blessed Mhlanga’s case are his subordinates. This was revealed during his bail hearing at the High Court.
2. Mutare businessman Kelvin Motsi lost $25 000 to his teenage sister in law which was stolen in his jacket. The money was used to buy a car, clothes, three iPhones and to support the mother of the teenage boyfriend ( Munyaradzi Madzure – 37). The money was reported stolen on 14 March.
3. Brendon Shoko (28) and his girlfriend Priscah Chipeta (38) stole $520 from Phethekile Madonko. After Priscah stole the money, Shoko worked with Knowledge Mhlanga (41) to forge CBZ deposit slips.

1. Duma Boko begins 10 month investigation ( Judicial Enquiry) into former Presidents, Ian Khama and Mokgweetsi Masisi over the liquidation of SOEs ( BCL Group of companies). The investigation will be carried out at the cost of P60 million by retired South African Judge, Malcom Willis. The investigation has been started using Presidential Powers.
2. Duma Boko has directed that the Botswana government must not litigate on cases where the government has wronged the citizen but must settle. Boko said even in the case where a lawyer can go to court and argue the case on a technicality, there should be a settlement. the most affected department is DIS, where agents are currently each demanding 2.2 million for their unlawful arrest and detention.
