Rwanda and Congo President issue a call for ceasefire after holding talks in Qatar.

Paul Kagame and Felix Tshisekedi met in Qatar for the first time after DRC accused Rwanda of supporting M23 rebels with ammunition and soldiers.

During the meeting, Rwanda emphasized the importance of the DRC engaging with the M23 to resolve their conflict by tackling its underlying causes.

A statement released by Qatar confirmed that both countries were to ceasefire unconditional and immediate.

The spokesperson for Democratic Republic of Congo Tina Salama also confirmed this stating that both countries had called for ceasefire.
