Sheffra Dzamara, the wife of missing Zimbabwean activist Itai Dzamara, has opened up to Amnesty International in a heart-wrenching account of her husband’s disappearance.
In a written testimony, Sheffra recounted the events leading up to Itai’s vanishing, pleading for justice and demanding answers from the authorities.
Itai Dzamara disappeared on March 9, 2015 on his way to the barbershop for a haircut.
Sheffra says she will not stop until she finds out what really happened to her husband.
Sheffra sharing her story with Amnesty international marks a milestone in the search for truth and justice.
Amnesty international has been campaigning for the return of Itai Dzamara safely and also for Zimbabwe to investigate on his disappearance.
