The African National Congress (ANC), South Africa’s oldest liberation movement is set to celebrate its 113th anniversary on January 11, 2025.

The celebration is set to take place at Mandela Park Stadium in Khayelitsha in Cape Town.

The ANC shared the event poster that had President Cyril Ramaphosa’s image with the hashtag, #ANC113.

The ANC’s anniversary serves as a reminder of its foundational role in the struggle against apartheid and its ongoing mission to uplift the nation.

The African National Congress (ANC) is a political party in South Africa that was founded in 1912. It is one of the oldest and most influential liberation movements in Africa.

The ANC played a significant role in the fight against apartheid, a system of institutionalized racial segregation and discrimination that was enforced in South Africa from 1948 to 1994.

The party was banned by the apartheid government in 1960, but it continued to operate underground and in exile.
