Fadzayi Mahere expressed how disappointed she was on the fact that the Minister of Youth Empowerment Honorable T Machakaire launched an invention that was created Hong Kong in 2016.
Fadzayi said ” Why is Minister Machakaire claiming that Sophia, humanoid robot developed in 2016 in Hong Kong by Hanson Robotics is ‘Zimbabwean first humanoid robot’?”
She asked why was this invention being passed on as something original from Zimbabwe whereas it’s not.
She also asked the future of AI in Zimbabwe as Sophia is said to be an invention from Hong Kong not Zimbabwe.
