As a token of appreciation the Zimbabwean president Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa gifted warriors US$6500 each for qualifying for AFCON 2025.
The warriors qualified for AFCON finals in Morocco. The president also gifted the same amount to the technical team.
The president shared on X that the government was ready to support the warriors for they have done the country proud.
” the government is committed to supporting sport,with resources set aside for AFCON preparations. Congratulations,you have made our nation proud,” he wrote.
