CCC leader, Jameson Timba and 34 others were released after being given wholly-suspended sentences.
The magistrate noted that Timba and 34 other CCC members are first offenders, adding that further detention will burden their families.
Timba was given a two-year wholly suspended sentence while other male convicts were given a suspended 16-month jail term.

Women and youths were also given wholly suspended sentences.
The State proved that Timba and his colleagues unlawfully gathered at his house with the intention to plan illegal demonstrations in Harare before they became riotous after being dispersed by the police.
