Gambakwe media sources confirmed that Zimbabwe Generals left the ZANU-PF conference soon after informing Mnangagwa of their decision against ED2030.

The Zimbabwe military became the last line of defence after Mnangagwa backers had pushed through a plan to extend Mnangagwa’s term to 2034.

The Standard newspaper reports that there were a number of scenario’s developed by Mnangagwa backers for extending his rule at the Ministry of Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, namely:

– A 2030 two year term extension
– A 2034 third term scenario
– A 2038 scenario which includes a 10 year moratorium on elections, including keeping Tshabangu in Parliament.
All these plans were opposed by the military.

1. Zimbabwean businessman Trevor Simbarashe Mbizvo Hell Commander will appear in court on 7 November after he forged HIV certificate and removed a condom during sex with a South Africa woman. On 13 January 2021, Hell commander sent Laisy Ramokone an HIV test certificate and she told him it did not look legit. Laisy and Mbizvo then travelled to a vacation in Limpopo where they stayed at lodges before returning without sleeping together. On their return, Mbizvo the dilly dallied on showing her his results. They agreed to have sex using protection, however, Mbizvo removed the condom during sex. Afterwards, Mbizvo disappeared and was no longer taking her calls. She then started the process of taking PEP. She then opened a case against Mbizvo at a police station in Centurion. She was shot at by men who she suspect wanted her to stop the case. Someone hacked her phone, listening devices were installed and drones were seen flying over her house.

– The family of Tito Mboweni has apologised after the Presidency removed former president Thabo Mbeki as a speaker from the program of Tito Mboweni’s funeral, despite the family’s insistence that it was Mboweni’s wish for Mbeki to be one of the speakers at his funeral. Tito and Mbeki had a pact that whoever died first, the other would speak at their funeral. Mbeki has now made the speech online.

Family spokesperson Mr. Chris Marupi confirmed that arrangements are in place to transport Chief Marupi’s body from Harare, following the post-mortem report. “The body is expected to arrive in Gwanda Town on Saturday morning, and in the evening, it will be taken to his rural home, where burial will take place on Sunday morning,” he said.
