Laurah Tapiwa says she is settling down after she moved back to Zimbabwe. Her wi-fi has been down today and she will be going to Ecocash to get a new sim card. She has been in Zimbabwe for four days and she says she has not been sleeping well. Frustration is starting to kick in.

She hailed a Bolt to Chisipite as she does not as yet have a sim card. The driver sent her a direct message and asked her to make the trip $5 instead of the $3 which was on the app. She eventually negotiated to pay $8 for a return trip.

Laurah was excited to see that her old number from 2019 was still functional as Zimbabwe has number for life. This was great because some of her Gmail notifications still go to this number.

As electricity was gone, she could not cook using the gas tank as she did not have matches. When power finally came back at 7pm, she finally started to cook. Laurah has decided that she will batch cook for days as the power cuts are extreme.

Laurah says she is at home all day and is always indoors. She says it is very difficult to order things online and she must maximise every trip that she makes into town. She also has no cash on her.

Laurah is starting to question if she made a god decision moving back to Zimbabwe but is happy that she has a beautiful place to stay.
