South Africa defies SADC on Swazi Tshabalala and says they have not withdrawn her as a canidate for the AFDB Presidency despite a statement bythe South Africa Presidency acknowledging SADC’s decision on Zambian, Samuel Maimbo. The new AFDB President is set to begin their term in August 2025. Swazi Tshabalala was until her recent resignation, the Vice President of the AFDB. South Africa believes that member countries do not vote as a block and and can lobby for their preferred candidate. the election will take place in May 2025 in ivory Coast, Other candidates include Senegalese Amadou Hott, Tanzania Frannie Leautier and Chadian Abba Mahamat Tolli.

2. Jeys Marabini accused of borrowing clothes and not paying for them by Mazibuko resulting in heavy loses. Sipho Mazibuko says Jeys Marabini did his video with her clothes that she had borrowed and shot his video with them and then when she asked he responded with unprintable insults.
3. Zimbabwe approves twice a year HIV Prep drug, Lenacapavir which cuts down HIV infections by 96%. The drug was recently unveiled in Peru at the 5th HIV Research prevention conference (HIVR4P). Director of HIV and AIDS in the Ministry of health, Dr Owen Mugurungi said the drug costs between USD 200 and USD 300 per shot in developed countries which might be too high for local Zimbabweans. Oral Prep has proved to be ineffective.

4. City of Cape Town spokesman Unathi Kondile (42) to appear in court for beating his girlfriend. The case was opened at Milnerton Police Station in July by his 35 year old girlfriend after she accompanied him to a wine launch at the Grand West Casino. She said she was driving towards her home with Kondile in the passanger seat when he tried to force her in a different direction. Kondile punched her in the face a number of times as they were still discussion the matter. When she stopped the car, he stepped out with her handbag and a tug of war ensured. He then dragged her out of the car by her hair and started the car. She managed to get back into the car and as he was driving, started punching her as he drove all the way to his Habour Arch home. All this while he was shouting, I will kill you bitch and that’s why your sister is dead. Kondile was arrested in August and appeared in court and is on R10 000 bail. Kondile is denying the allegations and said she has a mental illness and she sustained the bruises hitting the dashboard while he was driving.
