President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s advisor Eddie Cross, has warned the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor John Mushayavanhu that the ZIG is doomed.
Cross said if Mushayavanhu stays on his course or keeps on doing the same things, the local currency will fail.
He said the current strategies are unlikely to stabilise the Zig and could precipitate a faster decline than anticipated.
Meanwhile, Eddie Cross urged authorities to do more to shore up the ZiG and the country’s economy.
