South Africa’s former Finance minister Pravin Gordhan has died at the age of 75.
According to a family statement, Gordhan died in the early morning surrounded by his family.
He was the founding commissioner of the South African Revenue Service (SARS).
He is survived by his wife Vanitha, and his daughters, Anisha and Priyesha.
Tributes have started pouring in from everyone who knew Gordhan stating that SA has lost a good veteran.
