WATCH LIVE as Gambakwe unpacks the Zimbabwe military led 50 year rapid development strategy. The problem in Zimbabwe is a low level of development of the past 100 years. Zimbabwe will need to develop rapidly during the next 10 years to catch up with other African countries.
Please watch the video above this post for more details.
Details of the 50 year strategy.
Development in Zimbabwe has been slowed down by problems in the security sector ( Military, Police, Prisons and Intelligence). Before addressing political and economic issues, there is need to address the architecture of the country.
Today I will outline the key military reforms that are part of this strategy:
– Within the first 10 years, Zimbabwe military reform will involve focusing on professionalising the army, air force and creation of the navy.
– Creation of a massive military town along the Zambezi.
– Creation of a well equipped Navy with operational ships operating along the Zambezi.
– Creation of the Engineering Corps that will plan infrastructure around Zimbabwe.
– Creation of a manufacturing and innovation unit that focuses on new technologies.
– Creation of a technology unit.
– Creation of a planned city at Victoria Falls that will accomodate 1 million people.
– Creation of a planned city at Binga along the Zambezi.
– Creation of a national high speed rail network between Victoria falls and Harare with nodes at Hwange, Bulawayo, and the main towns along the route.
– Creation of the University of Victoria Falls.
– Creation of a river taxi.
