His Worship the Mayor, Cllr Jacob Mafume, has applauded the late former Harare City Football Club Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tafadzwa Basera, for the great work she did during her time at the club.
Speaking during a church service held in memory of the late Tafadzwa Basera yesterday, Mayor Mafume described the late Basera as one of the heroines in the football fraternity.
“Tafadzwa assisted many young female footballers to play for the national team,” Mayor Mafume said.
Mayor Mafume added that Tafadzwa had transformed and shaped football in the country and was committed to transforming the lives of young stars through football.
