The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has been accused of favoritism after allowing Passion Java to enter a courtroom wearing an “improper attire”, including Gucci slides.

Java was supporting friends facing fraud charges. Lawyer Fadzayi Mahere criticized the ZRP for selective enforcement of dress code rules, noting that ordinary citizens would not be allowed to dress similarly.

Zimbabweans echoed Mahere’s concerns, decrying preferential treatment for ZANU-PF supporters.
