The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) has announced the introduction of a new currency code, ZWG, to replace ZWL.
According to RBZ governor, John Mushayavanhu, the change is part of international best practices and will not affect everyday transactions.
He also stated that, the currency name, Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG), remains unchanged.
