Gambakwe Media sources have exclusively revealed that the relationship between Mnangagwa and Mutsvangwa has irretrievably broken down.
Mnangagwa summoned the judge , Esther Muremba, Monica and Chris Mutsvangwa to Zimbabwe state house for a meeting on Wednesday.
ED accused Monica and Chris of using funds obtained from USAID to sabotage the new ZIG currency. Zimbabwe intelligence reports presented to Mnangagwa clamined that Neville Mutsvangwa was working to launder money Tapiwa Chisakaitwa – the Chief of Party of the East West Management Institute (EWMI).
According to the intelligence briefing, the EWMI received USD19 million from USAID to support pro democracy organizations and the opposition in Zimbabwe but this Chisakaitwa did not send the money to any opposition organisation and CSOs. Mnangagwa was told that the funds were instead used by Chisakaitwa to fund and sponsor Zanu-PF factions opposed to Mnangagwa.
In the meeting with the judge, Mnangagwa accused Chris and Monica of being part of the plotting and questioned why they are not sanctioned by the American government.
Mnangagwa remined Mutsvangwa that he played a key role in both the coup and the August 2023 despite the role Chris played in the coup and to get ZanuPf to rig 2023 elections.
After Monica and Chris denied everything, Mnangagwa angrily ordered Justice Esther Muremba to not grant Neville bail.
Mutsvangwa and his faction openly confronted Mnangagwa in the presence of the judge, and threatened her with unspecified action if she did not release Neville.
This prompted the judge to recuse herself from the case as she feared being caught in the crossfire.
