Members of the public have expressed concerns about the ongoing police pursuit involving minibusses, highlighting that it poses a serious threat to public safety.

Police operations have intensified over the past two weeks to crack down on unregistered kombis, resulting in frequent chases on the streets.

This has become dangerous to the public, as minibus drivers pay no attention to the road when they are fleeing from the police. Sometimes, the police smash the windscreens of combis with people inside.

On Tuesday this week, a minibus evading the police hit a woman as she crossed the street, causing her injuries requiring immediate hospitalization.

Harare residents have urged the police to address these issues in a way that does not endanger the public.
