President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed opposition Michael Reza as the new chairperson of the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission.

In a statement, the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Martin Rushwaya said the appointment is with immediate effect.

Reza holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Masters of Law Degree.

He has vast experience in investigation and prosecution of corruption cases and has also undergone training on the handling of money laundering and asset forfeiture in several countries under the sponsorship of the United Nations Organ on Drugs and Crime.

Reza is replacing Loice Matanda-Moyo, who was made Prosecutor General in October last year.
