Nigerian kidnappers are demanding US$620,000 ransom for the realese of close to 300 student and staff who were kidnapped from a school in north-western Kaduna state last week.
Bandits, have wreaked havoc for years in northern Nigeria, where they target villagers, motorists on highways and students in schools, hoping to barter for ransom payments.
