Popular award winning Zimbabwean journalist, Hopewell Chin’ono and exiled former Zimbabwean minister, Saviour Kasukuwere have linked up and are actively working together in South Africa.
Chin’ono and Kasukuwere physically attended an interview together and had breakfast together in Johannesburg this morning.
Speaking during the interview on Newzroom Africa, Chin’ono said corruption has now spread to newsrooms as underpaid journalists are taking money to stop covering certain negative stories about journalists.
Kasukuwere said the problem in Zimbabwe is that the judiciary is part of the corruption and therefore corrupt Mnangagwa government officials in the mining and banking can not be persecuted. Kasukuwere said those who have abused resources out of the country are not being apprehended.
Kasukuwere said the USA has decided to put sanction on Mnangagwa and his dynasty because locally they are untouchable.
