Prominent Zimbabwean economist, Brains Muchemwa, has appeared in court for beating up his wife, Blessing Kumbirai Muchemwa.
Facts of the case are that Muchemwa called his wife on Otober 2, while she was on her way to pick up their kids from school. However, the call was disconnected due to bad network.
That evening, Muchemwa arrived home around 10pm and accused his wife of performing traditional rituals to harm him.
When she denied it, Muchemwa beat Blessing up, who then made a police report.
