Comedienne and socialite Felistas Murata, popularly known as Mai Titi is celebrating her 37th birthday today in prison.
Mai Titi was jailed for nine months for fraud and theft of trust property.
In a statement on her Facebook page, Mai Tt said:
It’s funny how I made a request 2 ago when I visited Chikurubhi female prison, donating goods to my fellow women in custody , I asked that Authorities to grant me the permission to be remanded in custody along with others because I wanted to see, feel , understand how they survived in this uncomfortable place.
My request was denied as they told me I could only be remanded if I commit a crime . 2 years later today I’m writing this letter from Prison because of a mistake I made which turned to be a crime. Now I can see , feel , experience what it is to be in prison. I will tell you all about it when I’m out, today is not the right day as I’m celebrating my birthday.
I turned 37 years behind bars and I’m going to enjoy with my inmates. I know some of you miss me and I genuinely miss you too. I thank God for taking me this far even if im in a dungeon i still thank Him. Every mistake I made in life is a lesson and indeed im learning and growing.
Got loads of stories to tell you when I see you again. In the meantime let me enjoy my birthday. Celebrate it along with me and always remember I Love You❤️ . Happy birthday to me and everyone who shares the same date with me .
