Renowned journalist Hopewell Chin’ono has attacked CCC leader Nelson Chamisa for poor elections strategy.

This comes as Chamisa introduced more than 200 members of parliament and senators yesterday ahead of the 23 August elections.

Chin’ono said Chamisa should have released the names of candidates earlier.

“Names were not released earlier because the plan was to impose candidates not this infiltration hullabaloo”, he wrote.

The journalist added that Chamisa didn’t want the likes of Tendai Biti who felt wronged to have a right to appeal.

Below is what he said:

What is more sad is that CCC refused to listen to many voices that said names of candidates should be released earlier. This circus would have been avoided. It is nonsense to say that they were avoiding infiltration. Chamisa said he had a master plan called strategic ambiguity, it wasn’t strategic after all. Names were not released earlier because the plan was to impose candidates not this infiltration hullabaloo.

They didn’t want candidates who felt wronged to have a right to appeal. As diplomats have been saying all week, how do you say you are a social Justice party yet you deny your party members the right to appeal against unfairness! The tragedy is that Zimbabweans don’t like being told the truth, they love party propaganda, that is why charlatans like Walter Magaya make millions out of them.

Critical thinking is in short supply! We want change, but don’t suspend your reasoning as you pursue that change! All these problems were self created! Nomination court was opened on June 10, how do you fail to file on time? These are questions that only make sense to citizens who want to have a genuine discussion not the cultic following!

They see no evil, hear no evil and talk no evil, for that you continue to pay a price that might allow ZANUPF to rig and you will have another 5 years of sending money back home or pleading for help through Go-Funds! Wear your thinking caps when dealing with politicians, they are opportunists that is why they fight for positions! As they say, you get the leaders that you deserve. Now May the insults come….
