Solgas founder, Tafadzwa Mundicha, has revealed how, when he first started the company, he could not afford to pay rent and was almost homeless.

Land deveoper, Exodus Makumbe then stepped in and allowed him to live in a show house at his Madokero housing development for over 2 years without paying rent.

Mundicha says he had just spent his last $300 000 on solgas and was not getting a salary from 2015 to 2017 when his company signed a deal with Old Mutual Zimbabwe.

Solgas is now one of the most successful solar power producers, feeding over 5kw into the grid from their Hwange plant.
