The United Kingdom All Parliamentary Group has called on its government to withdraw President Emmerson Mnangagwa ‘s invitation to attend the coronation of King Charles.
In a letter written to British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, the group, chaired by Navendu Mishra MP, urged the UK government to reconsider its advice to Buckingham Palace Mnangagwa’s invitation to the royal event on 6 May.
The group cited the severe political and human rights violations in Zimbabwe as one of the reasons why Mnangagwa should not attend.
