Charles Masebe (52), the man whose two pitbulls killed a Limpopo woman, Melitta Sekole (43), on Friday 23 December 2022 has two IDs, one Zimbabwean and the other South African.

According to Prosecutors, Masebe was born in Beitbridge and the Department of Home Affairs suspects that his South African ID was obtained fraudulently as he had two citizenships.

Masebe was remanded in custody to 12 January and has been at Makhado holding cells since he was arrested.

Melita Sekole was killed by Charles Masebe’s two pitbulls while walking to work at around 5am.

Melitta Sekole was walking to work to the town of vivo at 5am when she was attacked by the Masebe ‘s two pitbulls at Ga – Makgatho village outside Senwabarwana, which ripped her clothes and bit her, badly injuring her.

Melita was rescued by community members and taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Sekole was later transferred to the provincial hospital in Polokwane where she died a few days later.

She will be buried today.

Masebe appeared in the Senwabarwana magistrate’s court and was remanded until Thursday, the 5th of January.
