Zimbabwe First Lady, Auxillia Mnangagwa, has been conferred an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) in Development Studies by the Zimbabwe Open University in honor of her efforts to improve the standard of living in disadvantaged communities through programs such as “Gota/Nhanga/Ixhiba programme” , her fight against Cancer, and efforts to safeguard children’s rights.
“A true embodiment of an African Woman, who has earned local and international accolades due to her outstanding humanitarian work.”
Minister Sithembiso Nyoni, Minister of Women Affairs received the degree on Auxilia ‘s behalf as she is out of the country on other duties.
