South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has pleaded with United States President Joe Biden to remove Zimbabwe sanctions.
He is in the US for the annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly next week. He said sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe have a collateral damage on South Africa
Ramaphosa said he is forced to carry the burden of Zimbabwe’s economic crisis due to the sactions.
He also explained how sanctions affect other countries in the region as migrants are forced to leave Zimbabwe in a bid to seek economic opportunities.
