South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa met his American counterpart Joe Biden on Friday at the White House.

Ramaphosa is in America for a state visit to strengthen relations between the two nations. He was welcomed by US Vice-President Kamala Harris.

The two leaders spoke privately for more than an hour on topics that included trade, climate and energy.

Ramaphosa’s visit to Washington comes just weeks after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made his own trip to SA.

He also explained how Sanctions are affecting Zimbabwe and other countries in the region as economic migrants are forced to leave Zim seeking better opportunities.
