Sports minister Kirsty Coventry has been appointed chairperson of International Olympic Committee (IOC) newly formed group named the Games Optimisation Working Group.
In statement the Sports and Recreation Commity said the group aims to adapt to the organization of the Olympics to “modern times and financial challenges”.
Coventry is a full member of the IOC and chairs the organisation’s coordination commission for Brisbane 2032.
“The SRC is proud to be associated with such exceptional leadership,” read the statement.
