The World Health Organisation (WHO) has confirmed that a few number of Monkeypox cases in Africa have been recorded since the outbreak of the disease.
More than 50000 cases and 16 deaths have been recorded worldwide. According to WHO, the vast majority of the cases are among men who have sex with men with a median age of 36.
The WHO director Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the cases of the disease in Africa remain suppressed.
