The founder of Spirit Life Mega Church based in South Africa, Jay Israel says he is quitting christianity.
The self-proclaimed prophet says he has been facing depression for the past two years and he did not get any assistance from the church.
“In as much as I’m human and in as much as I have made my own mistakes I’m done with the ministry and I dont want to preach anymore,” said Jay Israel.
“I don’t want to preach anymore, I dont want to be in the ministry anymore. I am not going to do anything related to the ministry because of the level of hypocrisy I encountered when I was trying to do the right thing,” he added.
Few weeks ago, Jay Israel threatened to commit suicide and he says the post about committing suicide was an attempt to seek help from true believers.
Earlier this year Joshua Maponga also quitted christianity and he announced his decision through different social media platforms.
