Elderly Bindura Roki Munemo, spoke to Tilda Moyo from Chikurubi Maximum Prison, and revealed the circumstances sorrounding his arrest and conviction for the ra_pe of his 13 year old grand daughter.
Munemo said after the death of his son and his wife, their 10 year old daughter was sent to live with his younger brother and his wife.
Munemo said he was not married.
After a while, Munemo said his 10 year old grand daughter would run away with different boys.
Munemo said one day as he sat in his house with his grand daughter, he saw that she had already been with different men as she was damaged.
Munemo said he went to his young brother to shout at them, and threatened to beat them up because they had allowed her to get damaged.
The younger brother then asked him how he had found out that the girl was damaged.
Munemo was arrested and sentenced to 13 years in jail in 2017. He will be released in 2023.
Munemo said he left his wife in the 80s after he found her in bed with her ex boyfriend.
