Former Vice-presIdent Joice Mujuru paid a courtesy call to first Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa at her offices in Harare yesterday to celebrate International women’s day.

The former Vice President’s visit comes after the Mnangagwa proposed to visit her as part of her interactions with widows of freedom fighters, but Amai Mujuru said the onus was on her to visit the first lady.

During the visit, Mujuru said she is no longer interested in politics as she is now concentrating on farming and family issues.

Auxilia encouraged women to set aside their differences and empower each other.

“A lesson to learn today as the world celebrates International Women’s Day is love and embrace everyone, do not hate each other to death, do not leave any woman behind.”
