A small plane crashed on Tuesday evening shortly after takeoff from Jonglei state killing all 10 people on board.
The victims include two pilots and belongs to local company, South Supreme Airlines, and was enroute to Juba. It had been chartered by business people.
The plane came from Juba and landed at 3:30pm and then it took off at 4:30 pm, but crashed shortly after it took off, killing all 10 people on board.
The General Manager for South Supreme Airlines said: ‘Yes, we had a plane that left but it had not returned until now. 7:30 pm.’
Plane crashes are common in South Sudan. In August 2020, a small plane carrying 8 crashed soon after take off from Juba Airport, killing all on board.
