The Daily Sun Newspaper reports that Somali Shopkeepers have gone into hiding in KwaZakhele, Port Elizabeth , Fearing for their lives.
This follows the shooting of two Somali tuck shop owners aged 23 and 25 on Friday.
Another shooting was reported on Friday night, where a Somali Shopkeeper (37), was killed in his shop in Kwa Nobuhle in Uitenhage. His partner was wounded.
Witnesses say they heard several gunshots before police arrived to attend to the scene. Two suspects got away in a white bakkie.
A leader of A mabutho, a vigilante group linked to Umkonto we Sizwe veterans, said:
I saw a Bakkie being Chased by cops passing by our area. We condemn the act of criminality.
Police said they are investigating two cases of murder and business robbery.
