UPDATE: General Chiwenga Denies His Number.Â
Gambakwe Media was yesterday able to call the number of General Chiwenga and when he answered, he asked who was calling, when told that it was Gambakwe Media, he asked what we were calling about.
After being informed that we were calling about the Marondera man who was claiming that he snatched his wife, Chiwenga then said:
Muri Kuda kutaura nani and when we repeated that we wanted to talk to the General, he said Haisi number ya General!
We traced the number and it was confimed that the number belonged to General Chiwenga, and was on the ECONET network.
It is suspicious that General Chiwenga would deny his own number, however, he has done the same last month when talking to Simba Chikanza of Zimeye.
A Look At the Story So Far
1. Ronald Mazura is a father of two, who was married to his wife (Aylixc) around 2012.
2. His wife is a member of the AFM in Marondera.
3. Mazura moved to Marondera where he was working for Oosthuzien as a kitchen chef.
4. He lived in Western Park in Marondera, in Western Groove Street.
Mazura was coughing badly during his call with Chikanza. He has been on the run since he confronted Chiwenga.
Timeline
1. In July 2017 Mazura finds his wife with $870 USD. She explains it as church funds. She confessed after he beat her.
His wife confessed after Mazura discovered messages between his wife and Chiwenga.
2. In November 2017, Mazura was alerted by his landlady that his wife was leaving when he was at work every Sartuday. She claimed she was doing part time work.
One day Mazura came back home and found his wife not there. He called her and she said she was at home. When she returned home he beat her up until she confessed. After the fight Mazura went to Chiwenga’s house. Mazura went to the house one day and caused a scene when Chiwenga had some Chinese visitors.
After a week Mazura went home to Chitungwiza and told his family.
When he came back to Marondera, a Toyota Hilux came to his house and a Mr Mashungu said he wanted to hire him for a a job.
After 3 days, Mazura started posting his story on Facebook. He received a warning that he will be hurt.
He wrote a letter to Chiwenga and left it on his letterbox.
3. In December 2017, Tindo told him that his wife was being dropped off at the farm. He beat his wife that day and she told him she could get him killed any time.
From that time, Mazura was being hunted down by different goons. Jephat Munyanyi was an MDC leader and was beaten in the rib, he eventually died from the injury.
His cousin in Military asked him to leave the country. The same men were looking for him in Chitungwiza.
4. In December 2017 he went to Beira in Mozambique.
5. In March 2018, he went to Simango who advised him to seek Asylum. He went back to Zimbabwe, and told the MDC Alliance, where he recorded his story. They wrote him a letter to leave the country. He had no money to leave Zimbabwe. He went into hiding living in Glen Norah.
He eventually changed jobs and relocated to Mutare.
6. Recently , he had an accident in Marondera with a relative of a senior government official (permanent secretary).
The same goons started to look for him. He is once again on the run after that date.
Confession
Mazura’s wife said she was walking from the tuckshop when a car stopped. The occupants asked her if she wanted a job and she said yes. After some time, she got a call to come to a place near the hospital where she was picked up by the two men who were in a car.
Mazura s wife said she was taken to a lodge at Masaiti farm lodge and she was taken into a room. Chiwenga came into a room after 10 minutes.
Conclusion
1. This is going to be an important story going forward for General Chiwenga.
2. There is now a perception that General Chiwenga likes snatching other people’s wives.
3. The story is credible and Mazura does not have a reason to lie.
