20 year old Chikurubi convict charged for armed robbery Rejoice Ncube says her boyfriend Nhlanhla implicated her in all his robberies as pay back.
In a video on social media, Rejoice said Nhlanhla was angry because she showed the police where he lived.
Adding on, Rejoice said she was only involved in one robbery where her boyfriend who worked as a taxi driver took all the belongings of a passenger after threatening him with a knife and left him in the bush.
She further added that she did not know that her boyfriend was an armed robber but she knew him as a taxi driver.
“I did not ask him anything about the incident because I was afraid of what he might do to me also”, she said.
Rejoice went on to narrate that after 3 days the police came to her home looking for her and that is when she took them to her boyfriend’s house.
“He was already on the police wanted list for other robbery counts. My boyfriend was angry because I showed the police where he lives. He then implicated me in all his offences”, she added.
Furthermore in her 23 months sentence, Rejoice said she learnt that in the end the life she lived had dire consequences.
