Watch as a man who was caught red handed in Dzivarasekwa is questioned after attempting to ra_pe a single mother who lives alone with her children in an outside room.
The man was found and was beaten up by members of the public after he ran away leaving his shoes.
Narrating her ordeal, the woman said she was sleeping in her room when he door was violently kicked in.
A man entered the room and came straight to the bed where she was sleeping with her children.
He grabbed her by her neck and began to ra_pe her while holding onto the roof trusses of the room.
During the struggle, the roof trusses broke and the man fell down, giving the woman an opportunity to escape, while screaming for help.
Members of the community identified the man after he ran to his home and fished him out.
A man who was at the scene of the incident told Drewmas Media that he lost $500 to the gang that operates with the same man after they raided his tuckshop leaving him broke.
The badly beaten man said he was drunk and did not have any recollection of the events of the previous night.
He admitted that the shoes were his and said he was also accused of breaking into another house in another area but was not sure how he got into that house.
