Mnangagwa ‘s government has performed a strange cleansing ceremony at the iconic Christmas Pass, to prevent road accidents.
The announcement was made by the Mutare City Council.
Writing on Facebook, the city announced that the ceremony was held and shared pictures of the event.
City of Mutare joined the Office of the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Manicaland and various church organizations in the cleansing ceremony at Christmas Pass following the fatal accidents which have claimed many lives in the Christmas Pass.

The Christmas Pass is a mountain pass that leads into the city from the west. The pass was so named by some of the colonial pioneers who camped at the foot of the pass on Christmas Day 1890.
Various groups were present at the cleansing ceremony.
