Transform Zimbabwe leader Jacob Ngarivhume has been denied bail for a 3rd time at the Harare magistrates court.

In a ruling handed down on Friday Magistrate Trynos Utahwashe said: ‘Changed circumstances not sufficient to guarantee safety of the public if the accused is granted bail.”

Ngarivhume has been remanded in custody to September 4.

The handing down of Ngarivhume’s bail ruling was delayed by the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services (ZPCS) after they failed to turn up with the keys to the Court’s cells.

The van that ferried Ngarivhume to Harare Magistrates court had to turn back for security reasons as the whereabouts of the keys are unknown.
