Zimbabwe people power movement leader, Albert Matapo, says the absense of General Chiwenga at the Press conference addressed by Kazembe Kazembe shows that the Press conference was not speaking for everyone.
Matapo says it is not possible to speak for Chiwenga when he is not present and say ” Chiwenga will not stage a coup”. If Chiwenga had been present and spoken for himself, this would have been more believable.
Matapo says the Press conference was meant to warn people in the government who have been urging for a unity government. It was meant to show these people that a unity government or NTA is not acceptable to Mnangagwa.
However, Matapo says there is a growing number of people inside and outside the government who have realized that the current government is failing an needs to go. These people are willing to go to the side of the people if they see that that the public is now working with one accord.
Matapo said eventually, Mnangagwa will be removed and he urged people to focus on a smooth transition and not an illegal coup which is not desirable.
Matapo said his ZPPM will be part of the NTA but their method is a legal way of removing them, which will be acceptable internationally.
On prophets, Matapo said there was no reason to mention prophets as they are not a threat and these are people who are speaking what they have received from God.
