Zimbabwe born Norman Mapeza, who resigned as Coach of Chippa United, was frustrated out of the club by disrespectful Chippa United players.
Chippa United owner, Siviwe Mpengesi, said:
The coach said he does not see eye to eye with most of the players and has noticed signs of disrespect from some of the players.
In his leaked resignation letter, Mapeza said:
I hereby give notice to terminate my contract with Chippa United with immediate effect.
It’s is my view that the team is in need of a new voice.
As it stands, I feel I am unable to get the team where it is expected to be for reasons including, but not limiter to, the short amount of time vis-a-vis the expectations of the team and its management.
The club may benefit from a new pair of hands with a new skill set and coaching approach.
It is my hope that we can reach mutual agreement pertaining to the termination of this contract and sever the relationship in an amicable way.
Mapeza ‘s shock resignation came after Chippa United’ s win this weekend.
